The site is operated by Ozzy Productions LLC, doing business as DJ Z-Rex, in Brooklyn, New York. Where this policy says "we" or "us," it means that company.
Information you give us
The contact, custom beat, mixing and mastering, DJ services, and free beat forms on this site collect the information you type into them. Depending on the form, that is your name, your email address, and the details you choose to share about your project, such as your genre, references, budget, timeline, or event date.
You are never required to use a form. You can reach us directly at info@djzrex.com instead.
Information collected automatically
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use it. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the approximate geographic region your visit comes from, the site or search that referred you, and general details about your browser and device. We use this in aggregate. We do not use it to identify you personally.
Payments and the beat store
Beat licenses are sold and delivered through BeatStars, not through this site. The store player embedded on the beats page is BeatStars' software, and checkout happens inside it. We never receive or store your card number or payment credentials. Your purchase is governed by BeatStars' own terms and privacy policy in addition to ours, and the information you give BeatStars at checkout is handled under their policy.
How we use your information
- To answer your inquiry and quote or deliver the work you asked about.
- To send you the free beat and the follow-up emails you signed up for.
- To send occasional emails about new beats, services, and studio news, if you opted in.
- To understand which pages and content are useful, in aggregate.
- To keep records of work performed and licenses issued.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our email list.
Services that process data for us
We use a small number of third-party services to run the business. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Google Analytics — website analytics.
- Mailchimp — email list management and sending.
- BeatStars — beat store, checkout, license delivery.
- Slack — internal notification when a form is submitted.
- n8n — the automation that routes form submissions to the services above.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights.
Cookies and your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Google also offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across all sites. Blocking cookies will not stop you from browsing or buying.
Email choices
Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it stops all marketing email to that address. We may still email you about a specific order, license, or project you have with us.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email info@djzrex.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR, including the right to opt out of the sale of personal information — which, as stated above, is something we do not do.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and project records for as long as needed to do the work and to keep accurate business records. Email list data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained under Google's own retention settings.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links and embedded content
This site links to and embeds content from other services, including BeatStars, YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, and X. Those services set their own cookies and follow their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the site.
