This policy explains when a refund is and is not available. It covers beat licenses bought through the store and services booked through the site.
Beat licenses: all sales are final
Beat licenses are delivered instantly as digital files. Because the files are yours the moment the purchase completes, all beat license sales are final and non-refundable.
This is why every beat can be streamed in full, for free, before you buy. Preview the whole track, check the BPM and key, and read the license tier carefully. If you are not sure which tier your release needs, ask us first — that is a much better outcome than buying the wrong one.
When we will make it right anyway
The rule above is about changing your mind. It is not a way to avoid fixing a genuine problem. Contact us and we will sort it out if:
- Your download failed, is corrupted, or is missing files the tier includes.
- You received a tagged file when you paid for an untagged tier.
- You were charged twice for the same license, or bought the same beat twice by accident.
- The files delivered do not match what the tier advertises.
Reach out within 14 days of purchase at info@djzrex.com with your order details. Delivery problems get fixed at no charge.
Upgrading instead of refunding
If your record outgrows the tier you bought, you do not need a refund — you need the next tier up. Contact us and we will work out the difference rather than making you pay twice.
Services: custom beats, mixing and mastering, DJ bookings
Services are quoted and scheduled individually, so they work differently from store purchases:
- Before work begins. If you cancel before we have started, any deposit is refundable, less any third-party costs already committed on your behalf.
- After work begins. Deposits cover time already reserved and work already done and are non-refundable once a project is underway. If you cancel mid-project, you receive whatever has been completed to that point.
- Revisions. Your quote states how many revision rounds are included. If a mix is not landing, use the revisions — that is what they are for. We would much rather get it right than refund you.
- Delivered work. Once a final master or custom beat has been delivered and approved, the project is complete and the fee is non-refundable.
- DJ bookings. Event deposits secure the date and are non-refundable inside 30 days of the event, since the date is held and other work turned away. Outside 30 days, the deposit can be moved to another available date.
If something goes wrong on our end
If we cannot deliver a service we have taken payment for, you get a full refund of the undelivered portion. That is our responsibility, not yours.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback. Nearly every issue — a failed download, a wrong file, a duplicate charge — is faster to fix directly, and a chargeback on a delivered digital license can put your license in question while the dispute is open.
How to reach us
Email info@djzrex.com with your order number or the beat name and the email you purchased with. Refunds that are approved go back to the original payment method.
Beat purchases are processed by BeatStars, so an approved refund on a store purchase is issued through BeatStars and their processing times apply.
